Patrick Reed is 100-30 to win the Masters after the American took charge of Friday's second round.

He fired a six-under-par 66 and leads by two from Marc Leishman.

The Australian hit a 67 and is 7-1 to claim his first Green Jacket.

But the big guns are right in the mix. Overnight leader Jordan Spieth got his second round off to a miserable start when he dropped three shots in his first two holes, but he recovered to shoot a 74.

He is joined by Rory McIlroy, who needs the win at Augusta to complete a career grand slam of the game's four Majors on four under, with Sweden's Henrik Stenson is a shot closer to the leaders.

Spieth and McIlroy are both 7-1 while former Open champion Stenson is 10-1.

The half-way cut came in at five over par, which was good news for the returning Tiger Woods, who was a shot inside the line after a 75.

Phil Mickelson was right on the mark after he struggled with a 79.

Champion Sergio Garcia, who had a 13 on the par-five 15th on Thursday, missed the cut alongside Alex Noren, Thomas Pieters, Jason Dufner and Charl Schwartzel.

Doug Ghim was the only non-professional to make the weekend, rewarding punters who backed him at 9-2 to be the top amateur.
