Kevin Kisner defeated Matt Kuchar in the final of the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play on Sunday and the accurate American is 80-1 to taste Major glory for the first time at the Masters, which starts on April 11.

Kisner, who was an 80-1 ante-post chance, beat European Ryder Cup star Francesco Molinari in the semi-finals at Austin Country Club before overcoming Kuchar 3&2 in the final to claim a third PGA Tour win.

The 35-year-old finished runner-up behind Molinari at the 2018 Open and recorded his best Augusta performance last season in finishing tied for 28th at the Georgia venue. He is quoted as short as 50-1 to win this year.

Rory McIlroy, who won the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass last month, is 7-1 favourite to complete a career Grand Slam by claiming his first Green Jacket, with Dustin Johnson a 10-1 shot and Tiger Woods no bigger than 14-1.

Stephen Gallacher recorded his first victory in five years as a 125-1 shot at the Indian Open, while Graeme McDowell was a 40-1 winner of the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic.

That victory, his first since 2015, saw McDowell rise 122 places in the world rankings and the Northern Irishman will hope for more success as he bids to seal a place in the Open, which takes place at his home club, Royal Portrush, in July.

Most of the PGA Tour's top names are opting to take this week off to prepare for the Masters but Rickie Fowler heads to TPC San Antonio to contest the Valero Texas Open, for which he is the 10-1 favourite.

Tony Finau and Kuchar are also set to tee it up, along with out-of-form Augusta specialist Jordan Spieth, who will be searching for positives before returning to his favourite track. Spieth is a 22-1 chance for the Masters.
