All eyes on Tiger Woods as speculation continues over his Masters participation

Five-time champion set to make late decision over whether he can compete

The Masters field numbers 91 players with three days until action starts at Augusta National, Georgia, in the first Major of the season.

Harris English withdrew last week with injury problems, JJ Spaun booked a last-gasp ticket to Augusta by becoming the 175-1 winner of the Texas Open on Sunday evening, but the focus is on Tiger Woods as tee-times draw closer at the Cathedral of Pines.

Woods has been practising at Augusta, testing a body which was battered from several back surgeries even before he endured a high-speed car crash in February last year. Doctors considered amputating his horrifically damaged right leg in the aftermath of the crash, but less than 14 months later the five-time Masters champion seems set to compete again.

Woods has said: "It will be a game-time decision on whether I compete." That means the living legend will probably be listed in the field and given a tee-time, deciding on Thursday whether he is ready for 72 holes of competition at one of the hilliest venues in golf.

With thunderstorms forecast for Tuesday, Woods may only get Monday and Wednesday to do further tests of his leg outdoors at Augusta. Thursday is expected to be sunny and warm, but temperatures cool for the final three competition days, which will not aid Tiger's fragile body.

Woods is a best-price 60-1 with bet365 to win the Masters. Monday morning saw the bookmaking community complete their enhanced each-way terms, with bet365 (eight places), Coral (ten) and Ladbrokes (eight) joining the party. BoyleSports are offering a fifth the odds, the first 11 places. Jon Rahm is 11-1 Masters favourite.
