Kindly-drawn College big value to go all the way

In-form Bohemians should batter Galway

The most attractive FAI Cup last-16 tie sees Derry City host St Patrick's Athletic, who are favourites.

That might not make sense to everyone, with Derry at home and ahead of Pat's in the League if Ireland table, but it is hard to trust the Candystripes. Losing Ronan Curtis looks all the more harmful since his excellent start with Sky Bet League One side Portsmouth.

Patrick's could still sneak a place in the top four and they were excellent against Cork City last weekend, but it is hard to advise a bet on them.

UCD are more backable at 8-15 against CIE Ranch at Greenogue. Peamount United's ground will suit free-flowing College, who are worth a small interest at 28-1 to go all the way, given their excellent First Division campaign. They have ridden their luck with the draw and should be safely in the last eight.

Bohemians are one of the Premier Division's form sides and it should be noted that Galway's matches against the five teams above them have yielded a single win all season in the second tier.

They were blown apart by Longford last Friday and it is hard to see anything other than a comfortable Bohemians win at Eamonn Deacy Park, with this competition likely to be targeted by Bohs, who are safe from relegation.

Champions Cork City are odds-on, as are Dundalk and Waterford, and the cup winners are highly likely to come from that trio.
