Grayson evens to take over at Sunderland

Sunderland have been searching for a new manager since the end of the season but talk of a move for Jurgen Klinsmann has been scotched by the man himself.

Klinsmann has said there is no truth in the rumours linking him with the Black Cats job and his odds eased from 8-1 to 16-1 with Betfred as a result.

Preston manager Simon Grayson is the evens favourite, while Jens Keller (in charge of Bundesliga 2 side Union Berlin) is a 5-1 chance.

Everton have signed 20-year-old Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen and immediately sent the player on loan to Anderlecht.

Onyekuru has been snapped up for a reported £6.8m fee but doesn’t yet qualify for a British work permit.

Bristol City have continued their summer recruitment with the free transfer signing of right back Eros Pisano from Italian side Verona.

The 30-year-old defender has signed a two-year-contract at Ashton Gate.

Ladbrokes have suspended betting on Dani Alves’ next club, with a move to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City expected to be near completion.

The 34-year-old, who enjoyed a successful season with Champions League runners-up Juventus, teamed up with Guardiola during their spell at Barcelona.

Dartford fell to defeat in the National League South play-offs last month but Betway make the Kent club 6-1 favourites for next season’s title.

Chelmsford are next in at 7-1, with Hampton and Richmond Borough a 15-2 chance.

The same firm make Salford City, who are part-owned by ex-Manchester United legends, 7-2 to top the charts in National League North.

Kidderminster can be supported at 11-2, while last season’s FA Trophy winners York are next in at 13-2. Darlington are 10-1 to rule the roost.
