This Eastern Conference shootout looks like a high-scoring affair in which Chicago Fire can more than play their part.

It’s a short price that both teams score at the Yankee Stadium, where there have been an average 3.4 goals per game this term.

Take the Fire to score at least two goals, something that they have done in each of their last five MLS contests.

Chicago are the talk of the league after propping up the conference last season.

Transformed under coach Veljko Paunovic they are currently on an 11-game unbeaten run, a sequence which includes eight victories.
They have failed to score in only two games so far and boast the section’s best goal difference.

City trail Chicago by four points after dropping points in the last two games. Disappointingly they led both Vancouver and Toronto 2-1 but could win neither, crashing 3-2 against the Whitecaps and drawing 2-2 with Toronto.

This fixture arrives just 48 hours after that gripping clash with Toronto, and it’ll be interesting to see how much it has taken out of Patrick Vieira’s men.

David Villa, for example, is 35 years old and having played the full 90 against Toronto you have to question quite how fresh their 13-goal top scorer is going to look as this game drags on.

New York have scored in every game since their opening-day loss against Orlando and are a potent threat going forward.
Best match-betting prices: 19-20 NY City (Betway, 188Bet), 7-2 Chicago (Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power), 14-5 Draw (BoyleSports).
