Everton left it late but eventually broke Crystal Palace's hearts with a 2-0 victory at Goodison Park to move up to eighth in the table as they sealed a hat-trick of Premier League wins.

The game looked to be drifting towards a 0-0 draw until substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring on 87 minutes and Cenk Tosun, who also came off the bench, made matters safe for the odds-on favourites two minutes later.

Palace, who are down to 15th, missed a glorious chance to break the deadlock themselves in the second half following a Seamus Coleman trip on Wilfried Zaha inside the penalty area, only for Jordan Pickford to save Luka Milivojevic's spot-kick.

Roy Hodgson's men were cut to 5-1 by bet365 and Betway to be relegated from the Premier League and face a daunting run of fixtures. Arsenal are next up at Selhurst Park followed by matches against Chelsea (away), Tottenham (home) and Manchester United (away).
