Perth Glory look a good bet to bounce back

Perth Glory manager Kenny Lowe is hoping to turn things around after crushing back-to-back defeats, but his team are underdogs at home to a Melbourne City side who have got back to winning ways.

Third-placed Melbourne will be confident of three points after they ended a run of three defeats in a row by beating bottom club Wellington last time out, and City's Ross McCormack is 7-2 favourite to score first against fourth-bottom Perth, who are six points behind them.

But Melbourne are a short price to win and Perth look value for the upset - they are unbeaten against Melbourne in their last five league meetings.

Injuries have hurt Perth recently and the manager has come under scrutiny after a 6-0 thrashing by runaway leaders Sydney and a 3-0 defeat to Adelaide United, but they could bounce back.

Perth have the worst defensive record in the league with 29 goals against and one of the worst attacking records with only 15 scored, but they recorded back-to-back wins over Brisbane and Wellington before Christmas and it could be a low-scoring game if Melbourne’s main man McCormack isn’t on form.

McCormack has ten goals, seven more than City's next top-goal scorer Bruce Kamau, but lacks support.

Despite their recent struggles, punters should not shy away from a Perth revival as they look to increase their impressive record against Melbourne.
