Ipswich's progress in the League One promotion race has stalled with draws against Charlton (4-4) and Cheltenham (1-1), and the Tractor Boys could be tripped up by playoff-chasing Exeter at St James Park.

There is no serious cause for alarm for Kieran McKenna's side, who dominated the majority of last Saturday's stalemate with Cheltenham and won the shot count 31-3. But Town goalkeeper Christian Walton was at fault for Cheltenham's goal and there was a lack of precision up front as Ipswich wasted a host of chances.

It would be concerning if Ipswich had the same issues at Exeter on Saturday, because the Grecians possess one of the best front threes in the division.

Jevani Brown has the joint-most goal involvements alongside Bristol Rovers forward Aaron Collins in League One this term with 17 - nine goals and eight assists.

Brown's teammate Sam Nombe is third on the list with 13 (eight goals and five assists) while Jay Stansfield has come to life in recent weeks with four goals in his last seven league matches.

Ipswich may struggle to keep Exeter's front three quiet and their options at the other end are reduced by a long-term hamstring injury to Arsenal loanee Tyreece John-Jules.

The Suffolk side have a strong squad and are unlikely to stray too far from the top of the table, but Saturday's trip to Devon looks a tough assignment and they may come a cropper.
