Football accumulator tips for Friday August 5: Bayern Munich headline 11-2 acca

Lyon should show no mercy to promoted Ajaccio

The Premier League season begins on Friday with the all-London clash between Crystal Palace and Arsenal but we're looking further afield in an accumulator that pays 11-2.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich should make a winning start to their title defence and Friday's acca also features selections from Ligue 1 in France, the Dutch Eredivisie and the Turkish Super Lig.

All bets must be placed by 7pm on Friday.

Racing Post football expert James Milton has picked:

Heerenveen to beat Sparta Rotterdam

Trabzonspor to beat Istanbulspor

Bayern Munich to beat Eintracht Frankfurt

Lyon to beat Ajaccio

Heerenveen v Sparta Rotterdam

Four wins in their final six Eredivisie matches saved Sparta Rotterdam from relegation last season but they still scored only 30 goals in 34 games and may struggle on their trip to Heerenveen, who finished eighth in 2021-22.

Istanbulspor v Trabzonspor

Turkish champions Trabzonspor flew out of the traps last season, winning 12 and drawing three of their first 15 Super Lig matches, and they should see off promoted Istanbulspor in Friday's opening fixture.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich started life after Robert Lewandowski with a 5-3 German Super Cup triumph over RB Leipzig last weekend.

Bayern begin their bid for an 11th straight Bundesliga title away to Eintracht Frankfurt, who beat Rangers on penalties in last term's Europa League final but had an underwhelming domestic campaign.

Lyon v Ajaccio

Lyon ended the 2021-22 season with four straight home wins in Ligue 1, scoring 17 goals in the process, and they have boosted their attacking unit with the return of striker Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal.

Ajaccio were runners-up in Ligue 2 last term despite scoring just 39 times in 38 matches and they are unlikely to find the step up to the French top flight easy.
