Match preview

Both West Indies and victors India hit more than 200 in their T20 series-opener in Hyderabad on Friday but it may not pay to pile into Virat Kohli's hosts to seal the series spoils at 1-3 or bank on another runfest in game two at the Greenfield Stadium.

Both previous international matches at the Thiruvananthapuram venue have largely seen the ball dominate the bat. The Windies lost a 2018 ODI by nine wickets after being skittled for 104 and India edged out New Zealand by defending 67 in a rain-shortened 2017 T20 eight-over slog.

Back Ravindra Jadeja to be the top India wicket-taker and Rohit Sharma to be the top India runscorer.

Jadeja, who bowled tidily enough in taking 1-30 in the series opener, claimed 4-34 with his slow left-arm orthodox against the Windies at the venue last year.

Opener Rohit, who top-scored with 63 not out in the same match, failed in Hyderabad but is rarely out of nick for long and scored centuries for fun in October's Test series against South Africa as well as making 85 in the recent shortest-format outings against Bangladesh.
