Derby v Middlesbrough

Middlebrough are giving manager Jonathan Woodgate time despite finding themselves third-bottom of the Sky Bet Championship with just 12 points from their opening 14 games.

However, the pressure could soon be on Boro's rookie boss after a trip to Derby, who are unbeaten in five home games which includes wins in each of their last three.

Boro have missed the services of club captain George Friend in defence and he is still a few weeks away from a return.

Experienced shot-stopper Darren Randolph also remains sidelined, leaving 21-year-old Aynsley Pears in goal again.

The Rams could exploit the confidence-starved visitors and going with two up front - Jack Marriott and Chris Martin - is a signal of intent from manager Phillip Cocu.

Newport County v Salford City

Newport suffered a first defeat in seven league games at Colchester last weekend but the Exiles can regain the winning touch at home to Salford City.

Michael Flynn's men are a different side on home soil - they are unbeaten in eight home league games - and they are also more reliable when leading scorer Padraig Amond is partnered by Jamille Matt up front.

Matt was a substitute in the loss at Colchester but he returns to the starting line-up and that could bring an improved performance.
