The MLB postseason is shaping up to be a classic with the three best teams in the game and the most in-form side contesting the Championship series.

The last two in the National League face off on Friday night when the LA Dodgers visit Milwaukee.

The Brewers swept the Rockies 3-0 in the division series and have been in incredible form, winning 11 straight games.

It is a surprise that the Brewers are the outsiders. They won 96 games in the regular season, four more than the Dodgers, but the stats suggest the Californian outfit were unlucky.

Their underlying stats (home runs, strikeouts etc.) indicate they should have won in excess of 100 games, and that is supported by their monster run differential.

Clayton Kershaw is set to start game one for the Dodgers and the home team will do well to score many against him.

The LA ace is one of the best in the game, although he had an injury-hit season, and pitched eight scoreless innings against Atlanta in the division series.

With the rest days between matches Kershaw could pitch on short rest and make multiple appearances if the series goes the distance.

The classy Dodgers are odds on to win the series, but as Brewers are in extraordinary form and have home advantage (they start with two games at Milwaukee and will play four of the seven, if necessary, at home) a small bet on a close series with the Dodgers edging it 4-2 or 4-3 at combined odds of around 13-8 appeals.
