He added that he was satisfied with his position leaving the back straight and had considered attempting a run through on the inside rail but felt this was risky, given several runners were starting to weaken in front of him, and it was at this point he considered it a better option t switch the gelding wider to commence his challenge from which point the gelding ran on strongly to obtain his best possible placing; trainers representative confirmed the instructions and stated that, having spoken to the trainer, he was satisfied the ride given accorded with them allowing for the fact that the gelding was slowly away) (tchd 7/1)
