b g Tobougg (IRE) - Scottish Spice (Selkirk)
Held up towards rear, never a factor (jockey said, regarding running and riding, his instructions were to drop his mount in and get him to settle as he he had been very free until eventually settling after jumping three hurdles, that he was forced to run wide on the turn for home, made a mistake at the second last, landed awkwardly and weakened thereafter. Furthermore, he stated the animal has more speed than stamina and may struggle to get the two mile trip over hurdles. The trainer confirmed these instructions, adding he has been disappointed with the horse's first two starts over hurdles where he has ran free on both occasions. He added that he may never properly get the two mile trip over hurdles and had not ruled out a return to racing on the flat but was hopeful that in time on better ground and a stronger pace he may eventually learn how to relax properly over hurdles.)

b f Shinko Forest (IRE) - Shafir (IRE) (Shaadi)
Always towards rear (jockey said, regarding running and riding, his instructions were to jump off in last place as this mare is particularly free both at home and on the track and indeed had proved difficult to ride on her first start at Listowel. He added she was free thoroughout, improved her position after four out, ran wide turning for home and weakened approaching the last hurdle when she had nothing left to offer after taking too much out of herself during the race. The trainer confirmed these instructions and expressed satisfaction with the ride, adding the mare may never reach her full potential until she learns to settle and she may be best suited to racing on quick ground in her own company on a sharp track. ) (op 50/1)
