Snowfall, Santa Barbara or someone else - who wins the Oaks?
'She looked the most talented filly in the Cheshire Oaks'
Don't underestimate Snowfall's freebie from the front in the Musidora, Aidan has always loved her.
Santa Barbara is the potential superstar and the only one you could see turning up in the Arc in the autumn. The problem is her price.
The one who looks much bigger than she should be is Zeyaadah at 12-1. She looked the most talented filly in the Cheshire Oaks to me and I'd be very surprised if she didn't reverse that from with Dubai Fountain. She would have learned a lot at Chester and I think there is plenty of improvement to come.

Snowfall second favourite for Oaks after dominant performance
'Zeyaadah would probably be my idea of the winner'
Santa Barbara will surely know more in the Oaks than she did at Newmarket, but the way she hung out of the Dip would be a worry for the undulations at Epsom, and she is a short price.
Snowfall dictated the pace and had her own way up front in the Musidora. She still did it impressively, but whether she is up to winning an Oaks off a stronger pace is questionable.
Zeyaadah would probably be my idea of the winner at the moment, but I wouldn’t put any money on her until the day. It’s an open year and it's hard to discount anything at this stage.

'I adore her attitude'
Snowfall is my idea of the likeliest winner at the moment. She was granted at easy lead in the Musidora but came clear in style and will surely come forward again.
I'd be more confident of her ability to handle Epsom than Teona, who she beat at York, or stablemate Santa Barbara. I adore her attitude and her experience will stand her in good stead in the Oaks.
Saturday's trial at Newbury will tell us more, so don't be surprised if either Sea Empress or One Journey take a big leap forward, but that race doesn't have a good record at producing Oaks winners and they have a lot to find with Snowfall.
