The Anthony Honeyball-trained Midnight Tune landed Exeter's 2m1½f mares' novice chase and will now have her sights set considerably higher as the Grade 2 Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock could be the next stop for the eight-year-old.

Honeyball was relieved after she came home in front of her only serious remaining rival, Dame Du Soir, and said: "We have got away with that as this trip is the bare minimum for her and she has been helped by the very testing conditions which suit her ideally.

"She deserves to have a crack at a decent prize now and the Haydock race in the middle of next month look just the job for her as long as it keeps raining.
