Racing has never been better than this. It was set up perfectly; two champion trainers, one from Ireland, one from Britain, with two top jockeys.
The race developed in a way that started as expected and it looked as if Energumene would break the other. I still thought he would do it by the last fence, but Shishkin came back. You could see a tiredness gripping Energumene and Shishkin took him.
This was two unbeaten champions coming together to decide and there had to be a loser.
