The opening night of the 2019 Dubai World Cup Carnival was highlighted by the 1m1f Group 3 Singspiel Stakes and totally dominated by Godolphin who, from six runners, provided the first five home, led by Dream Castle with Christophe Soumillon wearing the blue cap.

A homebred five-year-old Frankel gelding, he was winning for the second time since landing his debut at Doncaster in April 2017. He followed that up by finishing second in the Greenham and fifth in the 2,000 Guineas won by Churchill.

This was his first outing since the gelding operation and he produced a taking turn of foot when asked by Soumillon, the pair progressing from midfield to lead within a furlong, completing a double for owner, trainer and jockey.
