Enbihaar joins Gosden squad of star fillies with Lillie Langtry triumph
John Gosden has an embarrassment of riches in the fillies' division with top-level scorers Enable, Anapurna, Star Catcher and Coronet, and on Saturday Enbihaar established herself as yet another leading force with a dominant success in the Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood.
Hamdan Al Maktoum's filly landed a Group 2 prize narrowly at Haydock last time but was in a completely different league to her rivals, travelling with ease under Jim Crowley before powering five lengths clear of Manuela De Vega.
Crowley said: "She had a 3lb penalty and that was a big performance to do what she did. It has taken a while for her to fill her frame and she is only just coming good now but she's getting better with every run. I always felt I had everything covered."
The Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp on Arc weekend was revealed as a likely target for Enbihaar.
Ralph Beckett said he was delighted with runner-up Manuela De Vega and nominated the Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster next month as her next assignment.
