Comedian John Bishop reckons there is nowhere like Yorkshire for trying out new jokes.
“I love the honesty of people from Yorkshire," Bishop professed. "When you’re trying to test material, you want people to let you know if it’s funny or not, and here they’ll definitely let you know!”
There is nowhere like Yorkshire to test your Classic material either. Ten furlongs under the spotlight on the Knavesmire lets trainers know whether they have Epsom aspirations or not, and last year it was Sir Michael Stoute who had the last laugh.
