The hot trainers, jockeys and horses to follow on day four at Royal Ascot

At the Racing Post, we know the must-have information ahead of Royal Ascot 2019. Our experts pick out the hottest trainers, in-form jockeys and flying horses ahead of day four on Friday. . .

Wesley Ward
Although Wesley Ward has yet to register a winner this week, the American trainer should not be underestimated in his bid to add to his haul of ten victories at the royal meeting on Friday. Ward fires two bullets at the Group 3 Albany Stakes (2.30), with rapid fillies Nayibeth and Chilli Petin among the core market protagonists and each putting their unbeaten records on the line.

The Newmarket trainer landed his second Royal Ascot triumph with A'Ali in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes yesterday and has feasible claims for further riches on day four. Crisford combines with the on-fire Frankie Dettori in the Albany Stakes (2.30), before Jash could provide the trainer with a breakthrough Group 1 success in the Commonwealth Cup (3.40). El Gumryah and Maamora also form a brace of Crisford-trainer contenders in the Sandringham Stakes (5.00).

Frankie Dettori
It would be remiss to omit Frankie Dettori from this segment with the rider celebrating an incredible 449-1 four-timer yesterday to increase his output to an incredible six victories this week. Private Secretary is perhaps his best ride on day four in the King Edward VII Stakes (3.05), with the smart Advertise another notable mount in the Commonwealth Cup (3.40).

The master jockey has enjoyed several winners at the Berkshire track this week but Friday perhaps represents his greatest book with three short-priced favourites. Among Moore's six rides are King Edward VII Stakes (3.05) favourite Japan, who is a massive player after his Derby third, and the plum ride on Ten Sovereigns in the Commonwealth Cup (3.40). Dual Classic winner Hermosa then bids to emulate Winter two years ago by securing a famous Group 1 treble in the Coronation Stakes (4.20).

Pablo Escobarr
The form of Pablo Escobarr's second to Anthony Van Dyck in the Lingfield Derby Trial has been franked in no uncertain terms by the winner's Epsom victory. The William Haggas-trained three-year-old is now out to make his mark in the King Edward VII Stakes (3.05), and one suspects the best is still yet to come from this talented son of Galileo.

Jubiloso
Hermosa will clearly take the world of beating in the Coronation Stakes (4.20), but the undefeated Jubiloso could be the fly in the ointment. She is officially rated 17lb inferior to the favourite but her previous victory at Newbury confirmed her a well-above average filly. With Sir Michael Stoute enjoying another excellent week, Jubiloso could ruffle the feathers of Hermosa with the trip sure to suit.
