Sir Mark Prescott will hope to be in the Newmarket winner's enclosure again on Friday with Kirsten Rausing's Alpinista, who heads a field of six in the Princess Royal Muhaarar Stakes (2.25). But Newmarket's longest-serving trainer reflects that the town is not the same this Cambridgeshire meeting without the fun of the crowds.


It was very sad to see the July meeting when there were tumbleweeds through the town where normally it's full of people at the station and standing outside the White Hart.

Everybody's lives have been shut down from the point of view of having any fun and, far more importantly, for their health worries.
