Shattered Love proving popular as Clonmel's big meeting passes inspection
Shattered Love is being backed to repeat last season's success in the Listed mares' chase at Clonmel on Thursday, with the track passing a morning inspection.
The Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase (3.00) is the feature for the course's flagship meeting, and is one of four races set to be broadcast live on ITV4. The ground is described as heavy with the first race due off at 12.15.
Shattered Love, successful in the JLT at the Cheltenham Festival in 2018, is favourite to win the T.A. Morris Memorial Irish EBF Mares Chase (2.25) and is now 6-4 (from 15-8).
Taunton is the other meeting in the ITV4 spotlight on Thursday, with two races being broadcast from the track.
The going has eased slightly at the course to good, good to soft in places (from good).
