Group performer Oh This Is Us is the class act among an eight-strong field for the only Listed race of the year at Wolverhampton, the £50,000 sunracing.co.uk Lady Wulfruna Stakes (3.15).

The race is the final fast-track qualifier for the mile championship on all-weather finals day at Lingfield next month, and last year's Lady Wulfruna winner Second Thought went close to doubling up at Lingfield on Good Friday when second.

Oh This Is Us, trained by Richard Hannon, was placed in three Group races last year, including a fine second to Ostilio in the Group 2 Prix Daniel Wildenstein at Longchamp in October. He then finished sixth in a Group 2 in Italy.

The six-year-old, who is rated 113, has appeared twice on the all-weather this winter, most recently when giving 24lb and a beating to the reopposing Apex King in a mile handicap at Lingfield last month.

Hannon said: "Oh This Is Us ran very well at Wolverhampton over one mile and half a furlong on his reappearance just over a month ago, when he was run out of it late, so the drop back to seven furlongs should not be a problem given he'll be much sharper for his recent success.

"He's versatile with regards to race tactics and Tom Marquand, who has partnered him for five of his 11 victories, takes the ride."

Having a second crack at the contest is Keystroke, who was beaten a nose in the race two years ago and made a winning start for new trainer Stuart Williams in a conditions event at Kempton in January.

William Haggas won this last year with Second Thought and is back with Island Of Life, who completed a hat-trick when accounting for subsequent winner Castle Hill Cassie in a handicap over course and distance in January.

Kevin Frost is looking forward to breaking new ground with Documenting, who will be a first Listed runner on the Flat for the Staffordshire-based trainer following two impressive all-weather successes in 7f handicaps.

The six-year-old son of Zamindar was bought by Frost from Juddmonte for just 1,000gns a year ago, but returns to Wolverhampton on the back of an impressive win at the track last month.

Frost said: "Documenting is one of the lowest-rated horses in the race with a mark of 101 and I'm not sure if he's up to Listed class as I've never had a runner in a Listed race, but we're looking forward to seeing how he gets on.

"He likes Wolverhampton and really excels over seven furlongs round there. He's an older horse but has had plenty of time off throughout his career."

Mark Johnston won this in 2016 with Mister Universe and runs Cardsharp, who was a leading juvenile in 2017, while French Listed scorer Straight Right represents Andrew Balding.

Useful sprinter Above The Rest, trained by David Barron, and the Tom Dascombe-trained Arcanada complete the field.

Saturday's fixture is the only one throughout the year at the course covered by ITV Racing, and a reigning all-weather champion features in the other ITV4 contest, the sunracing.co.uk Lincoln Trial Handicap (2.05).

That is last season's Easter Classic winner Victory Bond, trained by William Haggas and ridden by 7lb claimer Cieren Fallon.

It will be the most high-profile ride yet for Fallon, son of six-time champion jockey Kieren and who has six winners to his name so far, one of which was at this track for his boss Haggas last month.

Others to note in the 13-strong line-up include Pactolus, runner-up in this race last year and for whom trainer Stuart Williams has booked the useful 5lb-claiming Irish apprentice Ben Coen, and Masham Star, who was third in the Lady Wulfruna Stakes on this card 12 months ago.
