Cairde Go Deo is a filly going from strength to strength this season, and a reproduction of her Irish Oaks third behind Magical Lagoon should make her highly competitive in this Group 3.

The daughter of Camelot has two Listed wins on her CV this season, including an impressive Yeats Stakes success at Navan before a length victory over the now 110-rated Boundless Ocean at Leopardstown in June.

The Ger Lyons-trained filly has entries in the Blandford Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend and the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on Champions Day in October, and this assignment may be a stepping stone to bigger targets.

Tranquil Lady is the only filly rated higher than Cairde Go Deo in the line-up, and the step back down in class should see her to better effect after being well beaten in Group 1s the last twice. She's trained by Joseph O'Brien, who will also be represented by Grecian Slipper.

Paddy Twomey has already collected one of Cork's top Group prizes this year with Rosscarbery winning the Munster Oaks, and the Tipperary trainer will be hoping to land another big-race success at the venue with Rumbles Of Thunder.

She looked impressive when running away with a Gowran Listed event in May before two solid runs at the Curragh in Group company when third in the International Stakes and fourth in the Kilboy Estate Stakes.

Perotan is also an intriguing contender. Aidan O'Brien's filly, who is joined by stablemate Kiss You Later, built on a promising Bellewstown maiden win to land the Listed Her Majesty's Plate in good style at Down Royal last time.

Of the rest, Forbearance will be hoping to bounce back from a poor run at Glorious Goodwood, while Female Soldier completes the line-up for what is a cracker.

What they say

Paddy Twomey, trainer of Rumbles Of Thunder
I think the track and trip will be ideal for her. This is the race we've had in mind for a good while. She's been running well this summer.

Colin Keane, rider of Cairde Go Deo
She ran probably a career-best to get as close to those two fillies in the Oaks and get some Group 1 black type so it was a massive run. She's back down in Grade and you'd be hopeful of another big run. It's a competitive race.

Joseph O'Brien, trainer of Tranquil Lady and Grecian Slipper
We think the step up in trip will suit Tranquil Lady, as will the quick ground. We're hoping for a good run from her. Grecian Slipper is looking for some black type, she was unlucky not to get it in Naas the last day. We think she's a filly that could be on the up, so hopefully she can run well.

Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Perotan and Kiss You Later
Perotan won nicely at Bellewstown on debut and stepped up the last day to win nicely again. She hasn't done a whole pile since, but seems in good form and we're hoping for a big run. Hopefully the track and trip will suit Kiss You Later a little better than Leopardstown. The ground should be right and hopefully she runs well.
