Is it coming home or going to Rome? Trainers have their say on the big match
The eyes of the sporting world will be on England v Italy at Wembley on Sunday evening, and that includes many of racing's participants. We collected a few Euro 2020 final verdicts from some of racing's finest, including Richard Hannon, fresh from Group 1 success with Snow Lantern on Friday, who will be one of the lucky ones in attendance.
Italy v England predictions: Three Lions to bring it home
'It's a massive moment for the whole nation'
I think England will win 2-1. We were unspectacular against Scotland in the group but we've got better throughout the tournament and, while Italy are a good side, I do believe this is the moment to over-achieve. We might not be the best side ever, but could get a result purely because it's essentially a home game at Wembley. It's a massive moment for the whole nation, so hopefully they can do it. I'm actually going to the game with my boy Jack, who's only seven, but he'll remember it for the rest of his life and I've got to take him just in case England never make it this far again!
Richard Hannon
'I think Sterling could be a turning point for England'
We'll never have a better chance to win a major trophy given the way it's fallen in regards to the draw, the lack of travel and no penalty shootouts - so far! The squad looks fresher than any of the teams they've played, while there'll be a fantastic crowd at Wembley to roar them on. Italy are a good team, but given those factors, if England don't win it, we'll all be hugely disappointed. Italy's high press will be something to watch and they don't seem a traditional Italian team to spoil it. They play some good football and I think Jorginho has been outstanding; I haven't seen him play that well for Chelsea. That said, Raheem Sterling has been on fire and he's my player of the tournament. He's so positive running at players and I think he could be a turning point for England, so I'll take them to win 2-1.

'We Italians think it's going to Rome'
We are a divided camp in the Cumani household but I will be cheering on Italy as it's a case of once a wop, always a wop. Sara will be cheering on England, but she only has one-and-a-half lions on her shirt as she's half Irish. It looks as if it's going to be a very, very, close encounter as Italy didn't play that well against Spain, whereas England were lucky against Denmark. It's going to be tight, and I know Brits think it's coming home but we Italians think it's going to Rome!
Luca Cumani
'Italy are going to win, no doubt about it'
I expect it will be a good game to watch but Italy are going to win, no doubt about it. If they were to lose I think I might take a day off on Monday as it will be a nightmare in the yard. A couple of weeks ago many of the English staff were saying how nice it would be if Italy and England were in the final and it's amazing how it's turned out.

The Racing Post Sport view
Gareth Southgate's heroes have the best defensive record at Euro 2020, and their rock-solid rearguard gives them a great chance of beating Italy and ending their major tournament drought stretching back to the 1966 World Cup.
Expectations soared from the moment Germany were beaten 2-0 in the last-16 but the England players have been unfazed and continue to rise to the occasion.
