Tom Marquand has a big opportunity to build on his burgeoning reputation in Australia with three rides at Rosehill on Saturday, including in the Group 1 Longines Golden Slipper.

Marquand wasted no time in landing a big prize on his return to Australia last weekend, winning the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes on Prague, who the 21-year-old rides in the Golden Slipper (5.30).

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, the juvenile has won three of his four starts, including the Pago Pago over the Slipper course and distance, although he is not among the market leaders for the 6f Group 1.

Marquand said of Prague: "I was very fortunate to get to sit on him first when I was here in January/February time and won a Group 3 on him pretty impressively.

"He bounced back last weekend and pretty much destroyed a decent field at Rosehill in another Group 3 and that got him into the Slipper so he has pretty good credentials. He certainly looks a horse that can be competitive.

"We're extremely fortunate we've got a good draw [stall seven]. The ground is slowly drying out with a few nice days ahead, but hopefully it won't dry out too much because him and both of my other good rides that day all want cut in the ground."

Marquand, who has 12 winners from 47 rides in Britain in 2020, also partners two runners trained by William Haggas at Rosehill.

Young Rascal, a three-time Group 3 winner in Britain, runs in the Iron Jack N E Manion Cup (2.10) and is 4-1 second favourite behind Mugatoo, while Addeybb, second in the Qipco Champion Stakes to Magical on his last start, is 11-8 favourite for the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes (3.25).

Speaking to Sky Sports Racing, Marquand said: "They both look in great order and they seem to have travelled pretty well.

"William's travelled them down here for a very good reason and the fact that it's very rare in the autumn carnival and particularly on Slipper day that it's dry ground.

"Both horses will definitely go with cut in the ground, Addeybb's proved it many a time before and they've both got the class to be down here."

Norway, who was formerly trained by Aidan O'Brien but is now with Chris Waller, is a familiar name in opposition against Addeybb.

The Rosehill card features five Group 1s in total, including the George Ryder Stakes (4.05), the Rosehill Guineas (4.45) and the City Tattersalls Club Galaxy (6.10).
