Winning the 1,000 Guineas was a massive shock – Billesdon Brook had a lot to find. I'd previously said we could do with a bit of luck and that she needed to find 17lb! Where she found it from I don't know.

She was a little bit gassy in the Nell Gwyn and ran well to be fourth. If she runs to her best, she settles throughout then shows that turn of foot at the end, which she did here.

I came there two furlongs out and thought, 'Jesus, I might be going a bit early here', but I didn't want to disappoint her.
