One trainer, one jockey, one horse and one race to follow on Sunday
Trainer
Andre Fabre could be the trainer to concentrate on for the two juvenile Group 1s on the card, as he holds a strong hand in the Prix Marcel Boussac and Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.
Middle Park winner Earthlight has already advertised his 2,000 Guineas claims, and by the end of the weekend the yard could house other Classic contenders.
The unbeaten Savarin may give her Japanese owner a big winner under Yutaka Take in the Boussac (1.15), and Fabre also saddles Bionic Woman. For the Lagardere (1.50), Victor Ludorum heads the market and bids to make it three wins from as many starts.
Jockey
If Enable wins the Arc (3.05) then there will be a huge outpouring of emotion on the track with Frankie Dettori likely to be leading the tributes.
This week must have felt like an eternity to the jockey, who has been meticulous in his planning for the race. He will have devised a plan on how to triumph, and elected not to race-ride this week in order to protect against any mishaps.
Should those efforts be rewarded with a historic third successive win in the race, then it will surely go down as one of Dettori's greatest achievements in a storied career.
Horse
Last year One Master was an unfancied 33-1 shot for the Qatar Prix de la Foret (5.05) but the William Haggas-trained mare outran her odds to post a first success at the highest level.
She is winless since then, but throughout the season Haggas has been limited in where he can run the five-year-old, as seven furlongs is her best trip. Back at the scene of last year's victory, she could repeat the trick.
Race
The Prix de l'Abbaye de Longchamp Longines (4.30) has been a home away from home for British trainers, with eight of the last ten runnings won by cross-Channel raiders.
This year looks likely to be no different, with the last two winners, Mabs Cross and Battaash, in the field again.
The field is dominated by the British and Irish, who between them supply ten of the 16 runners, and Battaash is odds-on to deliver after a stunning season.
