We're setting sail for Ballybrit with a 25-1 shot this evening but I can guarantee each and every one of you have backed far worse 25-1 shots than Marshall Jennings.

The bookies began betting on the Colm Quinn BMW Mile (7.40) a good few days ago and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to see they had chalked up Marshall Jennings at that price. I'm even more surprised to see he's still 25-1, given the ground will be soft. Let me tell you why I think he has cracking each-way claims.

He needs time between his races to be at his best and he's had a nice 47-day break since running in the Grade 3 Ballycorus Stakes at Leopardstown. He beat only one home there but it was over seven furlongs and in a high-quality contest. This will be more his cup of tea.
