'If you offered me third on Magical now I wouldn't take it - it's about winning'
Donnacha O'Brien is relishing the chance to extend his unbeaten partnership with Magical in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and is focused solely on spoiling Enable's date with destiny.
Ireland's 21-year-old champion jockey will be riding in his third Arc on Sunday where he will renew his relationship with the brilliant Qipco Irish Champion Stakes winner Magical. The pair last teamed up to win the Debutante Stakes at the Curragh in 2017 and, prior to that, O'Brien was on board for her maiden win at Cork.
But just because O'Brien has not been on board Magical in public for over two years it does not mean he has not been an integral part of her progress behind the scenes.
