Garry Rothwell has just about the most crucial job in Newmarket this week, privately escorting Enable to the gallops each morning.

An assistant trainer at Clarehaven Stables, Rothwell led the star mare on to the Limekilns for possibly the final time on Monday when she completed her serious Arc prep under Frankie Dettori.

It was business as usual for Enable and Rothwell at the bottom of Warren Hill two days later, when she enjoyed two routine canters under her lad Imran Shahwani.
