Haggas hoping watering does not stop Sea being top of the class in Arc

William Haggas has implored officials at Longchamp not to over-water in advance of the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, in which he will saddle star filly Sea Of Class.

The daughter of all-conquering 2009 Arc ace Sea The Stars has helped light up the Flat season with a pair of dazzling come-from-behind triumphs in the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks, but those came on quick summer ground.

A possible to stay in training next year, Sea Of Class will be added to the Arc field at a cost of €120,000 on Wednesday, and Haggas hopes conditions are not artificially altered.
