You better believe Nigel Tinkler is now a fully paid-up member of the Breeders' Cup fanclub after the bold show of his North Yorkshire raider Ubettabelieveit, who came close to providing Britain with one of its proudest moments at the meeting with a fine third behind Golden Pal in Friday's Juvenile Turf Sprint at Keeneland.

A shock 40-1 winner of Doncaster's Flying Childers in September, the Martin Webb-owned Ubettabelieveit was given a cool and courageous spin by Rowan Scott, who, like Tinkler, was having his first taste of the glitz and glamour of the Stateside jamboree, albeit at an event taking place behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Whatever travel issues Tinkler and his team faced are clearly not enough to have dissuaded him from dreaming about what might come at the 2021 Breeders' Cup.
