Stick with Irish bankers and south-west gems - James Stevens forms his Tote team
My strategy is to pick horses who fall into two categories: ones who can clean up in Grade 1 races and those who may win decent handicaps at a bit of a price.

A Plus Tard is the fantasy football version of Erling Haaland, not the most original choice but one you would kick yourself for leaving out. The Betfair Chase is the first of the 21 bonus races and he should be able to kick the season off in style.
Shishkin disappointed at the end of last season but is the standout in Britain and should get plenty of easy opportunities in a moderate division. The Tingle Creek – another bonus point race – is an early option. I think Constitution Hill will win this season’s Champion Hurdle and so I will opt with him over Honeysuckle.
Novice races are also decent opportunities for Grade 1 victories. Over hurdles, Facile Vega looks a bit special and should be able to win plenty of the better races before heading back to the Cheltenham Festival. Champ Kiely is a horse I have been following since winning at Galway, he looks top-class.
I find novice chases a little more tricky. Jonbon is the one who looks to have the most potential and there will be plenty of weak Graded races in Britain which he should win easily. Sadly, Bear Ghylls is not available so I'll instead go for the unbeaten Gerri Colombe.
A lot of my racing knowledge is geared towards the south-west so I hope to take advantage of that starting with the inclusion of Might I for Harry Fry. This is a horse set to go up to three miles and I think the division is there for the taking – watch him progress.
Threeunderthrufive is the only one I fancy for the Coral Gold Cup this season so he is worth including, as is Oscar Elite who will also run at Newbury. He also retains his novice status so could make an impact at Graded level too.
