Gigginstown’s focus on young pointing talent will be missed

The Flat season ended last Sunday and the big Down Royal meeting at the weekend saw the jumps campaign move up a gear.

There was top-class action over the two days with ex-pointers to the fore. Three of the most impressive winners were Gigginstown-owned geldings who began in points. It underlines how successful the O'Learys have been in using points as a source of top class Graded horses and to educate young jumping talent.

Gigginstown's contribution in advertising the benefits of a point-to-point background is something which will be much missed as their winding-down process continues over the next few seasons.
