It is all about Fridays over the next few weeks for the Dubai World Cup Carnival, with the event having been moved from its traditional Thursday slot.

There are horses from 17 countries among the nominations making for a feast of high-class international racing that will run for seven straight Fridays, before a couple of big Saturdays in March, namely Super Saturday – they could hardly have moved that one! – and Dubai World Cup day.

That's nine fixtures, one more than last year. And in what will be the carnival's 18th year, there are some new races.
