How Twitter reacted to the Yarmouth debacle

Yarmouth in August 2015, with children's entertainment. John Kimber says the course should have raced during the Easter holidays too

The mix-up between stablemates Mandarin Princess and Millie's Kiss is the sort that takes racing off the back pages, albeit not for reasons we in the sport would like.

As ever, social media gave a snapshot of the public reaction, with opinions coming from far and wide.

@mrmrt666:Remember Flockton Grey, not the same I guess, but refresher training for all concerned is now called for?

@Deakers68:Mate works at Brighton, another ARC course, chips checked as they enter the parade ring there. That'll do won't it?

@bpowell13:Mistakes happen. I'm sure Charlie feels pretty bad this morning himself.

@davidjohnsontf:Is it Charlie McBride or Philip McBride that is going to face sanctions over this mistaken identity at Yarmouth?

@jherridge91:This Great Yarmouth story will become even better when the handicapper puts Millie's Kiss up 7lb next week

@hattielfuller:To be fair to Millie's Kiss, she's done well to win a 6f maiden considering she was meant to be running over 1m1f.

@jamesaknight:We paid out on Mandarin Princess & Fyre Cay in Yarmouth debacle. Just had one punter up in arms because he wasn't paid on Millie's Kiss!
