A trip to Santa Anita could be calling Daahyeh after she earned the right to one of the 14 places in the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf with her battling win in the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket.

Narrowly denied by Love in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes last time, the Roger Varian-trained filly gained compensation in this Shadwell-sponsored Group 2, leading home a one-two for her trainer with Stylistique, not unbacked at 14-1, staying on strongly to pip front-running Cloak Of Spirits for second.

Last year's Rockfel winner Just Wonderful went on to finish fourth in the Breeders' Cup contest, which is on November 1 this year, and Varian confirmed the American dream had been discussed after her Moyglare effort.

The Newmarket trainer said: "It will come under consideration but we will see how she comes out of this race and how she is going into that race.

"She has to prove herself at the mile but I'm sure you can compare the American mile to seven furlongs at Newmarket and the Curragh."

The American morning line may not favour Daahyeh but Paddy Power were quick to make her favourite at 5-1 (from 6).

William Buick reported Daahyeh had found the downhill stretch into the Dip troublesome before quickening up to lead.

Varian added: "She didn't handle the undulations of Newmarket and William, who was impressed with her, felt she would have won more comfortably if she had handled the Dip.

"She is tough, has run five times and you couldn't fault any of them."

Daahyeh was cut into 20-1 (from 25) by Betfair for next year's Qipco 1,000 Guineas, while the same firm went 5-1 (from 6) for the Breeders' Cup Fillies' Juvenile Turf.

Describing the daughter of Bated Breath as "a proper two-year-old", Varian expects Daahyeh to train on after her steady improvement throughout the year.

Her Qipco 1,000 Guineas odds were clipped to 20-1 (from 25) by Unibet, while runner-up Stylistique was ignored even though Varian gave her a glowing report.

The trainer added: "Stylistique is a lovely filly and it is a black mark against me that she is still a maiden!

"I'm delighted to get some meaningful black type with her and she is a big, scopey filly – an exciting prospect for next year. Frankie [Dettori] said she would get a mile."
