Thursday's betting preview

Nantes coach Antoine Kombouare said he was "ashamed" after watching the Canaries crash 3-0 at bitter rivals Rennes, a result that spells danger ahead of the visit of Freiburg in Europa League Group G.

Nantes were played off the park by neighbours Rennes, sinking into the bottom two in Ligue 1, a competition in which they've won just once all season.

Kombouare's men have scored one goal – and that was an own goal – in their last five matches, are the second lowest scorers in France and have been well beaten at Qarabag and Freiburg in the Europa League.

Freiburg are in fantastic form having lost just once all season. Any side sitting above Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga after nine rounds has got to be doing something right and they should be far too strong for Nantes at Le Beaujoire.

Union Saint-Gilloise have been in sparkling form of late and can keep those good vibes going by taking care of Braga in Group D.

The Belgians have won all three matches, all by one goal, including in Braga last time out, a pulsating affair in which Union had a goal disallowed before supersub Gustaf Nilsson jumped off the bench to score two late goals.

They are fourth in First Division A, have won five in a row in all competitions and haven't failed to score in 11 since that 3-0 defeat at Rangers in a Champions League qualifier.

They are proving they are no one-season wonder and will fancy their chances at home to a Braga side who have lost three in a row, most recently 1-0 at home to Chaves.

In the Europa Conference League, Dnipro-1 are flying the Ukrainian flag on foreign soil and doing it well.

To that end, another road trip shouldn't faze them and certainly they will be expecting to go to Vaduz and win in Group E.

AZ Alkmaar are making light work of the section leaving Dnipro-1, Vaduz and Apollon Limassol battling it out for second spot.

As it stands, Oleksandr Kucher's side are in the box seat on four points, having won 3-1 at Limassol and drawn 2-2 at "home" to Vaduz last week, a fixture played in Kosice in Slovakia, their base camp for this European campaign.

Dnipro are top of the restarted Ukrainian Premier League with five wins out of five and Artem Dovbyk is top of the division's scoring charts with five strikes.

Vaduz, remarkably, have won three games all season and all in Europe. In the Swiss Challenge League in which the Liechtenstein outfit play, they are without a win in ten.
