Brexit: Theresa May rules out second EU referendum
UK 11-4 to exit European Union before end of March
Theresa May has issued a Parliamentary statement reiterating that there will be no second European Union referendum and no revoking of article 50 as she seeks to gain the support of Conservative Brexiteers for her withdrawal deal which, according to bookmakers, has increased the chances of leaving the EU by the end of March.
Bet365 have cut their odds on Brexit taking place before the end of March from 4-1 to 11-4, presumably with no deal becoming more possible after the announcement of May's Plan B on Monday.
Getting any deal through Parliament will still be hugely difficult despite the Prime Minister saying she will listen to concerns from the DUP over the Irish backstop and take the conclusions of those discussions back to the EU.
Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the SNP have urged the Prime Minister to rule out no deal but May has argued this would not be possible unless article 50 is revoked before the end of March.
The chances or article 50 being revoked appear to be extremely slim with Paddy Power offering 9-1 yes and 1-33 no, although it could be extended beyond the current March 29 deadline.
Power have eased their odds on a second EU referendum from 13-10 to 13-8, while offering 4-9 from 4-7 that no second referendum takes place.
