UFC Fight Night preview

UFC returns to its Apex facility in Las Vegas for another of its Fight Nights with two blockbuster contests at the top of the card.

Dustin Poirier is back in the Octagon for the first time since failing to dethrone lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and he can expect another tough battle against Dan Hooker.

New Zealander Hooker is a teammate of UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski at Auckland's red-hot City Kickboxing gym, and at 9-5 he looks great value to cause an upset.

Hooker has won seven of his last eight UFC fights including an impressive victory over Paul Felder last time out, while Poirier has beaten higher-level opponents but may still be feeling the effects of losing his title shot against Khabib.

Welterweight Mike Perry takes on Mickey Gall in the co-main event, with Perry claiming that he has sacked his entire coaching team and replaced them with his girlfriend Latory Gonzalez - who will be the only person on duty in his corner.

Perry is desperate for a change in fortune after losing five of his last seven fights, but such reckless self-sabotage does not inspire betting confidence and the advice is to get with Gall.
