Preview

With a combined age of 79, there's no shortage of experience between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira at UFC 267.

The preference is for light heavyweight champion Blachowicz, who will have the edge when it comes to speed, to successfully defend his belt.

Blachowicz has matured over the last few years, showing greater patience and calmness in the octagon to enjoy a five-fight winning streak.

He was crafty when beating Israel Adesanya last time out, using his weight advantage to control the fight on the ground in the final two rounds, but that won't wash this time.

Teixeira is more than capable of matching Blachowicz on the deck so expect this one to play out primarily on the feet.

The Brazilian was dropped twice in his last fight against Thiago Santos but, as we've seen on numerous occasions, he dug in and managed to find a way to prevail.

There's every chance that Blachowicz will find a home for his right hand but finishing Teixeira is a different matter so a decision win for the champion could be the way to go.

Also on the card former champion Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen meet for the interim bantamweight belt, and while Yan is the overwhelming favourite there's plenty to like about Sandhagen at decent odds.

Both fighters tend to get it done without help from the judges so backing the fight to end inside the distance also offers interest.

Undefeated Khamzat Chimaev is also worth backing to beat Li Jingliang by KO, TKO or disqualification.
