Count on Cork to secure passage to Munster Championship final

Kerry have won the the last three Munster finals by 17, 11 points and ten points and it is hard to envisage anything other than a straightforward passage through the province for the Kingdom, who are as short as 1-14 to take their seventh title on the trot.

There is some value elsewhere, however, and the 4-6 available about Kerry meeting old rivals Cork in the Munster final makes plenty of appeal.

The current Cork side are a pale shadow of the one who claimed All-Ireland glory in 2010 but there were some promising signs this spring during the league despite their relegation to Division 3.

Cork are likely to meet Tipperary in the provincial semi-final and it is worth noting they went to Semple Stadium in round five of the league and emerged with a three-point success [1-12 to 0-12].

They were unlucky to lose out to Armagh by a single point in round seven, whereas Tipperary finished on a sour note as they were beaten on home soil by Clare.

Cork have more going for them than Tipperary and can at the very least book their ticket to the Munster final.
