Villarreal v Sevilla

Villarreal were 1-0 winners at Sporting in the Europa League on Thursday but they desperately need league victories and they could get one against Sevilla at El Madrigal.

The Yellow Submarine are second-bottom and in danger of sinking into the second tier but the midweek victory has given them confidence and they can cause problems for Sevilla, who have been struggling in La Liga away matches.

Valencia v Espanyol

Valencia are the La Liga draw specialists but they still have an outside chance of finishing in the top four and look the likely winners against Espanyol at the Mestalla.

Los Che won 2-0 away to Celtic in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 tie and they should be too strong for struggling Espanyol, who have won just one of their 12 away league fixtures.

Real Madrid v Girona

11am

Real Madrid triumphed 2-1 at Ajax on Wednesday without playing particularly well but they are on a good run and can finish a solid week's work with a comfortable victory over Girona at the Bernabeu.

Girona haven't won in La Liga since November and haven't scored in their last three league games. They may be happy just to keep the score respectable against Real, who beat them 4-1 last August.
