Second-placed Fortuna Dusseldorf at home to a Dynamo Dresden team who have dropped into the Bundesliga 2 relegation playoff slot ought to be a fairly straightforward contest to predict but it hasn't been plain sailing for either club in recent weeks.

After a blistering start to their league campaign with one defeat in their first 11 matches, Fortuna are now without a win in four and have surrendered top spot to Holstein Kiel. They will regain the lead in the standings with a win and are 10-11 to gain all three points.

That could look a big price given Dresden are third-bottom in the table with just three wins to their name. But Dynamo are not without hope, not least because they have performed better on the road, gaining two of their three victories away from home.

They have also scored twice as many goals in their away fixtures - 12 compared to six in as many matches at home - and have found the net in seven of their last eight games, the exception being a 3-0 defeat at leaders Holstein Kiel.

Fortuna will be motivated to move back to the summit but Dynamo will feel they are falsely placed and have every incentive to play positively so a Dusseldorf win with both teams scoring looks attractively priced at 3-1.

The hosts have four-goal midfielder Florian Neuhaus suspended, while striker Benito Raman is also likely to miss out with a knee problem. Left-back Philip Heise returns for Dresden after a three-match ban.

Recommendation
Fortuna Dusseldorf to win & both teams to score
