Malaga v Deportivo11am
Supporters of Malaga have had little to cheer this season but a visit from fellow strugglers Deportivo should at least ensure they are treated to a lively La Liga encounter at the La Rosaleda Stadium.

The rock-bottom hosts have won just one of their opening 11 league games and already look like candidates for the drop.

However, Michel’s troops are slowly piecing together some strong performances on home soil while Deportivo, who are just seven points above the hosts, are troubled on their travels.

Malaga have notched all six of their league goals this season on their own patch and their latest 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo offers the basement boys plenty of hope.

The Anchovies played out an exciting 3-3 draw when hosting Athletic Bilbao in September and grabbed a consolation in a 3-1 defeat to travelling Las Palmas.

A defensively-fragile Deportivo should play their part in a thriller.

The visitors have failed to score just once in six road games, notching in defeats at Real Betis and Espanyol, and spearheaded by the lively Lucas Perez they should once again make the net bulge.

Espanyol v Valencia3.15pm
Valencia have won seven league games on the bounce to keep up the pressure on leaders Barcelona and their impressive start to the season can continue against Espanyol.

Los Che are averaging 2.8 goals per away game this term and they should have too much firepower for the Blue Budgies, who have scored twice in their last six matches.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Valencia
1pt 4-3 188Bet

Key stat
Espanyol have failed to score in seven of their last 11 fixtures.

Las Palmas v Levante5.30pm
Seven league defeats in succession have dragged Las Palmas into the relegation zone and they are likely to stay there after hosting Levante.

Confidence must be close to rock-bottom in the Las Palmas camp and their struggles could be good news for Levante, who have an excellent chance of posting a first away league win of the campaign.

Dan Childs's recommendation
Levante
1pt 16-5 general

Key stat
Las Palmas have not kept a clean sheet in their last eight games.

Athletic Bilbao v Villarreal7.45pm
Lowly Athletic Bilbao have lost their last three La Liga matches but can stop the rot by holding Villarreal to a draw at San Mames.

Villarreal are on the charge thanks to a 2-0 triumph at home to basement boys Malaga before the international break but they haven't won on any of their last six visits to Bilbao.

Dan Childs's recommendation

Key stat
Villarreal have lost one of their last nine matches.
