Real Madrid look much too powerful for shot-shy Alaves
Eleven Sports from 11am Sunday
Real Madrid v Alaves
7.45pm
Eleven places separated Real Madrid and Alaves in La Liga last season, but the gap between them is just seven points this time. However, Madrid can extend that advantage with a home victory.
Alaves beat Real Sociedad and Valencia either side of the new year but they have lost their last two games without scoring and could be set for a comprehensive defeat at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have scored 11 goals in their last three matches as boss Santiago Solari continues his rescue mission.
Liam Flin's recommendation
Real Madrid -1 goal on handicap
2pts 4-6 Betfair, Paddy Power
Key stat
Real Madrid have won seven of their ten home league games this season.

Eibar v Girona
3.15pm
Girona are likely to be drained going into their game with Eibar after playing a two-legged cup affair with Real Madrid either side of a clash with Barcelona.
They are now without a win in 11 matches in all competitions and mid-table Eibar can capitalise.
The hosts have not lost in their last eight home games in all competitions and have kept clean sheets in their last two league games there.
Liam Flin's recommendation
Eibar
2pts 8-11 BoyleSports, Sky Bet
Key stat
Eibar have lost just two home league games this season.

Real Betis v Atletico Madrid
3.15pm
Atletico Madrid have added Chelsea loanee Alvaro Morata to an already strong squad and they can maintain their La Liga title challenge by beating Real Betis.
Diego Simeone's side haven't lost since October and should have too much quality and knowhow for Betis, who slipped to eighth, 15 points behind Atleti, after losing three of their last four La Liga matches.
Dan Childs's recommendation
Atletico Madrid
1pt 11-10 bet365
Key stat
Atletico Madrid have not lost any of their last 19 fixtures.

Villarreal v Espanyol
11am
Villarreal are in a relegation fight, having won just three of 21 league games this season, but they can make it four against fellow strugglers Espanyol, who are usually poor away from home.
The Yellow Submarine haven't won in eight but their preparation has been more straightforward than that of Espanyol, who exited the Copa del Rey with a 3-1 loss at Betis on Wednesday.
Dan Childs's recommendation
Villarreal
1pt 7-5 general
Key stat
Espanyol have won one of 14 away matches this season.
