Napoli v Sassuolo

Premier Sports 2, 8.45pm Saturday

Team news

Napoli
Fernando Llorente and goalkeeper David Ospina miss out for the hosts.

Sassuolo
Jeremie Boga, Vlad Chiriches, Gregoire Defrel, Pedro Obiang and Filippo Romagna are all sidelined. Mehdi Bourabia is suspended.

Match preview

Sassuolo have been fearless in their approach to games since Serie A restarted and there might not be as much between them and Napoli as the betting suggests at the Stadio San Paolo.

The Neroverdi were beaten 2-1 by Milan on Tuesday, a result not helped by having Mehdi Bourabia sent off in the 45th minute, but they were previously unbeaten in eight and finishing the season with a flourish.

In recent weeks, Roberto De Zerbi's men have drawn 3-3 with Inter at San Siro, beat Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico and drew 3-3 with Champions-elect Juventus at home.

The clash with the Old Lady, in which they came back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 before being pegged back, provided an excellent snapshot of how dangerous Sassuolo can be - they led the shot-on-target count 12-6 and enjoyed the lion's share of possession.

Gennaro Gattuso has improved Napoli's fortunes since taking over from Carlo Ancelotti in December and the hosts have been productive since the restart, losing just twice in nine matches since the resumption.

However, they met with defeat at Parma last time out and have now won just one of their last four matches in all competitions.

Although they can improve on seventh place in the standings, they have already qualified for the Europa League group stage by virtue of their Coppa Italia triumph and the desire to chase down Milan and Roma may be waning at the end of a longer-than-usual campaign.

Sassuolo have no respect for reputation and can avoid defeat in southern Italy.

Key stat

Sassuolo have scored at least twice in eight of their ten Serie A matches since the restart.

Genoa v Inter

Premier Sports 2, 6.30pm Saturday

Team news

Genoa
Ivan Radovanovic and Cristian Romero miss out for the hosts due to injury while Lukas Lerager is banned.

Inter
Stefano Sensi, Matias Vecino and Stefan de Vrij are sidelined for Inter. Nicolo Barella is suspended.

Match preview

Back-to-back victories have given Genoa an excellent chance of sealing their Serie A survival for another season but their bid to avoid the drop could take a hit against Inter.

The hosts beat fellow relegation rivals Lecce 2-1 last weekend and a victory by the same scoreline against Sampdoria in midweek has seen them establish a four-point gap to 18th.

They have picked up 11 points from nine games post-lockdown. However, those victories came against weak opponents and their form against stronger opposition is a cause for concern ahead of this contest.

Since the restart, Il Rossoblu have been beaten 4-1 by top-half Parma, 3-1 by table-topping Juventus and 2-1 by seventh-placed Napoli - they have also suffered a 3-0 defeat against Torino.

Inter's title challenge is all over barring a miracle but Antonio Conte's Nerazzurri have lost only one of ten league matches since the restart and Genoa, for all their determination to avoid the drop, may struggle to stop them.

Inter were held to a goalless draw by Fiorentina at San Siro in midweek but dominated the contest, enjoying 60 per cent possession and winning the shots-on-target count 9-4.

Conte can call on Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez in attack and his team have averaged 2.5 goals per game since the restart.

Inter also boast the best away record in Serie A, winning 11 and drawing four of their 17 road matches, and another away win looks likely.

Key stat

Only relegated duo Brescia and Spal have lost more Serie A home games than Genoa.

Brescia v Parma

Premier Sports 2, 4.15pm Saturday

Team news

Brescia
Mario Balotelli, Dimitri Bisoli, Emanuele Ndoj and Simon Skrabb are all out. Stefano Sabelli is suspended while Andrea Cistana is a doubt.

Parma
The visitors are without Andreas Cornelius, Riccardo Gagliolo, Juraj Kucka and Matteo Scozzarella.

Match preview

Brescia's chaotic 2019-20 season is predictably ending with relegation and Le Rondinelle are unlikely to restore pride when they host mid-table Parma.

A 3-1 defeat at Lecce on Tuesday confirmed the demise of a side who have been in a precarious position throughout a season which saw them sack former manager Eugenio Corini on two occasions.

Corini was replaced first with Fabio Grosso and then recalled weeks later before club president Massimo Cellino brought in current boss Diego Lopez in February.

Lopez was unable to save Brescia, who went into lockdown on an 11-match winless run and have picked up just eight points from nine games since Serie A returned.

The decision to bring Mario Balotelli to the Mario Rigamonti backfired but it is defence where the relegated hosts have really faltered.

Only relegation-threatened Lecce have a worse defensive record than Brescia, who have shipped 74 goals in 35 matches, and that could play into the hands of Parma.

The visitors had been dreaming of European football prior to the break but, after beating Genoa in June, picked up just one point from seven matches before finally breaking their winless run against Napoli last time out.

However, that lean spell featured matches against four top-half teams in Inter, Roma, Milan and Verona while their other fixtures were against teams no lower than 14th in the current standings.

Parma matches are rarely dull - both teams have scored in their last ten - and they should be expected to outclass their opponents in a high-scoring contest.

Key stat

Both teams have scored in each of Parma's ten Serie A games since the restart.
